New Cooperation with IFNANO

The development and application of optical sensors for health will be the topic at XLAB.

Using light as a tool is an important technological challenge of the future. The Institute for Nanophotonics Göttingen (IFNANO) acts at the interface of research institutions and industrial companies from all over the world in the field of optical technologies. The SNiPoCC initiative aims to develop novel "next generation" on-site rapid tests, so-called point-of-care tests, and is supported by the BMBF (German Federal Ministry of Education and Research). An educational program on this topic is being developed in cooperation with the didactics of chemistry and the XLAB. It is intended to complement the existing XLAB educational offerings on detection methods for SARS-CoV-2 infections.
