XLAB International Science Camp 2023, August 5 to 27

Discover Research in our Summer School

If you are at least 17 years old and

... interested in natural sciences
... want to work with up-to-date technology
... want to learn in an excellent scientific environment
... want to meet like-minded people from all over the world

apply now, and discover research in Germany!

Every year in August we organize the International Science Camp (ISC) for participants from all over the world. You choose three week-long courses and combine them into an extraordinary experience of science. English is the working language. A symposium finalizes the camp when you present your experimental approaches, experiences and results.

On weekends and in the evenings we arrange a cultural and social program. Social contacts among students from different cultural backgrounds are as important as experimental work and scientific learning.

Understanding natural sciences is fundamental to modern life. In our summer school you discover how physics, chemistry and biology contribute to a sustainable development. You will pick three week-long courses from a list of topics like Physics in Life Sciences, Quantum Optics, Astrophysics, Anatomy, Biotechnology, 21st Century Challenges in Lake Ecosystem Ecology, Light and Matter, Analytical Chemistry, Renewable Energies and Polymers. Every day you will perform experiments in small groups of two or three students. Our scientific staff will supervise you, and help you gain hands-on experience, skills and good results.
