Sucessful Test Run

13th Grade students conduct experiments on spectroscopy remotely via webcam.

A high school from Münster took the opportunity to get support from XLAB during the Corona pandemic. The students of a physics course, right about to graduate from high school, conducted live experiments on spectroscopy with XLAB lecturer Dr. Carsten Nowak. The experimental setup in the XLAB, 250 km away, was visible via webcam. The students controlled the measuring computers via remote access and received the measured values in electronic form. The students answered questions about the experiments live via videoconference. Further analysis of the data then followed the workshop. The workshop was a test run for the new online course X-ray spectroscopy.
