At XLAB on a Saturday

The students from NUS High School in Singapore used the weekend during their stay in Göttingen to conduct experiments on neurophysiology.

XLAB lecturer Dr. Michael Ferber introduced the young people from the renowned high school of the National University of Singapore to the secrets of electrophysiology. They examined stimulus processing in a sensory system using the grasshopper and in a self-experiment with modern methods using phototransduction as an example.

Student teachers of Biology, who are visiting XLAB as part of their didactic training, took the opportunity to experience a bilingual experimental course.

The group from Singapore stays in Germany for eight days. In addition to the XLAB visit, the program included an excursion to the Harz Mountains.
