The three-week ISC started on August 6th. Participants from different cultures meet, the 17-19 year old students come from Korea, Taiwan, China, USA, Israel, Turkey, Ukraine, Spain, Great Britain, Hungary and Germany. The first week of the course offered intensive insights in the field of quantum physics, light and matter, and anatomy.
On the arrival evening, they were welcomed by Professor Eva-Maria Neher, the founder and former director of the XLAB.
During the ISC, eight tutors are involved in helping the guests to arrive in Göttingen, to get off to a good start, and to help the group grow together, for example by doing karaoke in the student pub or cooking together. Charlotte, Mingh, Niklas, Johanna, Ive, Pia, Carla, Konrad and Jakob contribute significantly to the success of the ISC 2023.
