Nothing is more interesting than analyzing your own cells. The prospective biologists of the Biotechnology course were given the opportunity to analyze their own blood cells and groups and they isolated their own DNA from oral mucosa cells to analyze a specific VNTR locus using PCR. Another highlight was the application of the CRISPR/Cas9 technique in cell culture cells. In addition to molecular biology methods, the participants learned how to detect antibiotic-resistant bacteria and that it is possible to kill such bacteria in the future with bacteriophages. As is the tradition of every biology course, the lab showers were tested and again some people got wet.
