The German Research Foundation DFG has decided to continue funding the SFB 1073 at the University of Göttingen. A new science outreach project, with which Dr. Mona Maaß and Professor Thomas Waitz want society to participate in the findings and research processes in the collaborative Research Center, is on board. Plans include science camps for young people in the XLAB, advanced training for teachers and events for the interested public. With their activities, the scientists want to contribute to sustainable energy use and supply.
