Challenged by Real Systems

High Scool students formulate basic laws of physics in the form of differential equations at physics camp.

Nine participants in the Physics Camp during the summer vacations dealt with the question of how basic laws of physics can be formulated in the form of differential equations and how these equations can be solved using methods of numerical mathematics. For five days, the participants enjoyed being together with like-minded people and found the solutions they were looking for as a group. The Physics Camp was sponsored by the Wilhelm and Else Heraeus Foundation.
