Satellite Event

The conference took place in Poland from August 25 to 29, 2025, on behalf of Lviv (Ukraine) with Ukrainian participation. The satellite event “Crystallography in School” (August 25-26) was organized by XLAB lecturer Dr. Erhard Irmer and colleagues from Poland, Austria and Italy. Erhard Irmer's article appeared under the same title in the Journal of Applied Crystallography in September 2025.

The workshop, which was part of the “Education in Crystallography” section, consisted of lectures and demonstrations as well as practical introductions for teachers and students from the Poznań region. XLAB lecturer Dr. Erhard Irmer presented a student-friendly task for determining the three-dimensional molecular structure of aspirin, which students can optionally work on and solve during their XLAB visit in the course Aspirin — Synthesis and Analysis.
