ELISA-Technique

ELIZA is an acronym for enzyme-linked immuno sorbent assay. ELIZA visualizes the interaction of antigens (pathogen) and antibodies (immuno globulins) by means of an enzyme mediated reaction. By using this immunological test one may examine if and how many antibodies aganinst a pathogen have been produced by  the immune system of a certain individual.

In the experiment a group of students (pupils) will re-enact the spread of an infection. By using the ELIZA technique they will determine which persons caused the infection.
